We were walking hungry down the street
looking for good food for us to eat
We asked a lady talking up ahead
she turned to us and this is what she said;
CH
“The best food you can eat for energy (for you and me)
is the closest thing to nature that it can be (doncha see)
and remember the golden rule:
‘All food is fuel’.
But I bought lots of snacks in pretty packets
I ate the lot, my tummy made a racket
I felt crazy, I ran and a ball
but then I had no energy at all.
CH
My drinks are sweet and fizzy
I’m feeling sick and dizzy
I should some have had some water I know
Although my chocolate bar is neat
I can’t treat it as a treat
and I’ll have a better energy flow
We can all kinds of things
lollies chips fried chicken wings
we savour the flavour cause it tastes’ fine
but we can’t eat this all the time
we need lasting fuel to make us go
it’s gotta be food that releases slow
There’s no bad food make no mistake
just remember to make a date with your cake!
Now we’re eating lots of things you see
that grow in the back garden and come from a tree
My body lets me know when I feel low
to eat good food so I can go and go!
